Let me start with my recent stroll in the park near my place last Sunday evening. I actually moved to this place because of this park. Though it is small, it housed a tiny plot of forest, likely to be part of an old rubber plantation.
The usual bug that I will encounter each time, seen on the leaves of the Simpoh Air (Dillenia suffruticosa) plant is these shield bugs (Pycanum rubens).
Another bug which is also a common resident in the park is a type of leaf-footed bug. These are found among the Mile-a-minute climber (Mikania micrantha).
Likely due to after-rain and late evening effect, this orange skipper was rather calm while I took a few of its pictures.
A slender and long praying mantis was staring all the while at me while I snapped a few of its picture. It was standing tall on a bush of Dainty spurs (Rhinacanthus nasutus).
This yellow caterpillar was the last creature seen on my way back. It was munching away happily on the young leaves of the Brown-heart tree (Andira inermis).
And my first blog post is done!
